Optical Launch Reels (also known as reflectometric extender or pulse suppressor), is a passive optical fiber element, usually used in the measurements realized with OTDR, in the installation or certification of optical fiber cable deployments.
Launch reels eliminate the blind zone produced at the OTDR output, allowing the complete visualization of the whole length of optical fiber to be measured, including the first connector or optical connection.

Our launch reels come in a protective neoprene bag on a reel with a carabineer for ease of use by your network installer.
